STS

The STS list at the MIT Press approaches issues related to science and technology through social scientific and humanistic lenses. I most often work with historians and sociologists, and/or scholars with formal training in the social sciences. I think of STS-ers as the watchdogs of science and tech. My aim on the list is to emphasize the importance of social scientific methods and research in our approaches to science and the development and implementation of various technologies.

I’m also including links to a few classic books that may be helpful places to start as regards learning about the list at MITP (below).
